Trip in Romania

Romania is a country that is part of the European Union. 

To travel you will only need your identity card.
However, some additional measures must be taken to ensure a good trip.

- A little cash from the local currency since Romania does not use the Euro but the leu.

For going in Romania, we have booked our ticket with Ryanair. It is a low-cost airline company. We take off at Marseille and we land at Bucharest.

For going at Sibiu, we take the bus from Bucharest. The trip lasts five hours.

In Sibiu, we will move a walk and with public transportation.

We have also planned to travel on our free time. For travel in Romania, we will use the train or the bus. But for travel in another country, we will use the plane. 

The City: Sibiu 

Sibiu is a city located in central Romania, 415 meters above sea level in the southern region of Transylvania. Surrounded by mountains(Fugara, Cibin, Lotrului).

The climate is continental, temperate and humid, with no dry season. The average temperature over the year is 8.9oC.

The city covers an area of 121 km2 and is home to 397,300 inhabitants (in 2017).

Romania covers 237,000 square kilometres. To compare this area, France covers(643,300 km2).  It is surrounded, to the north and east by Ukraine and Moldova, to the northeast by Hungary, to the south-west by Serbia and finally to the south by Bulgaria.

Romania is attached to the Black Sea to the southeast.
